Privacy
We keep this light. We don't sell your data, we don't run third-party advertising or tracking cookies, and we collect as little as we can.
What we collect
Anonymous, cookieless analytics: page views and basic events (which pages you look at, a rough country and device inferred from your IP, and where you came from), so we can tell what's useful. We don't build advertising profiles and we don't track you across other sites. If you submit a review, ride log, incident report, staging report, or correction, or sign up for alerts, we store what you send — including an email address if you choose to give one.
Why we collect it
To run and improve the atlas, to review and moderate submissions, to follow up on a report if you left an email, and to notify you if you asked for alerts. That's it.
Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent your data. We rely on a small set of service providers to run the site — hosting, database, and email delivery — and they process data only to provide those services to us.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete anything you submitted — just get in touch. Our analytics are aggregate and aren't tied to your identity. Any alert emails include a one-click unsubscribe.
Readers everywhere
We serve readers around the world. Wherever you live, you can contact us to exercise your data rights — including access, correction, and deletion — and we'll honor them.
